How it works
- 1
Have someone take your photo, or upload one
Stand a few feet in front of a plain white or off-white wall, facing the light, with the camera about 4 ft away at eye level. A guide on screen helps with distance, angle and light.
- 2
We check it against the photo rules
Head size, eye height, pose, expression, glasses, shadows, focus and the wall behind you — on your phone, in seconds. If something is off, we tell you how to fix it.

Questions
Will my photo be accepted?
Acceptance is decided by the passport agency and is not guaranteed. We check your photo against the published requirements and tell you what to fix before you pay, but the agency makes the final decision.
Is this a government website?
No. PassportPhotoFlow is an independent service. Not affiliated with the U.S. Department of State or any government agency.
Do you edit my photo?
No. We never digitally alter your face or background - we only crop and size your photo to the official dimensions. If the background or lighting isn’t right, we show you how to fix it and you retake the photo.
Do I pay to check my photo?
No. Taking the photo, the rule check and the preview are free. You pay once, only when you want to download the finished files. There is no subscription.
What happens to my photo?
Your face is analysed on your own device. The finished photo is encrypted and kept only on your device until you download it. Photos stay on your device and are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload if unpaid, or 30 days after purchase. See the privacy notice for details.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in these cases: we fail to deliver your files, a technical fault on our side can’t be fixed, or you were charged twice; or you haven’t downloaded your files and ask within 14 days; or the passport or visa office rejects the photo for a requirement our check covers (send the notice within 30 days — we’ll help you retake it free, or refund you). See the refund policy.
